The Goshen Junior Football League Officials are planning for the 2010 season and would like your help to insure that this is another successful year.
The Goshen Junior Football League is an instructional league designed to teach the 4th, 5th and 6th grade youth’s basic fundamentals and skills of tackle football in a team format. Emphasis is placed on having fun while learning and not to encourage an individual-oriented competitive attitude.
All adults serving as coaches, officials, helpers and directors are volunteers who are committed to accomplishing the JFL goals. We respect the youths who are participating in the league and strive to aid in their development.
GOSHEN JFL ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE 2010
- Pre-Registration at the Goshen Little League Baseball fields on Saturday May 22, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sign up early and save time in July.
- Player Registration and Equipment Issue Session
Wednesday July 28 & Thursday, July 29
5:30 PM to 7:00 PM (PRINGLE PARK)
All Games and Practices will be held as scheduled. - Rain or Shine! *The only exception will be in the event of electrical storms and/or tornadoes. In the event of a cancellation of practice or game, look for a Red Flag placed at the JFL trailer in Pringle Park.
Player Evaluations
- Saturday, July 31 – 9:00 am – 10:30 AND Tuesday, Aug. 3 - 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
ALL PLAYERS SHOULD ATTEND BOTH EVALUATION DATES
Coaches and Player Selection Committee meet for Team & Player Assignments on Tuesday, August 3 at 7:30 pm at Goshen Chamber of Commerce (rear entrance) “NO PLAYERS"
Those planning on participating must have a parent or legal guardian attend the registration with them. Please fill out the information sheets and bring them with you.
The cost to participate is $30.00. Please make checks payable to Goshen JFL.
No one will be excluded from playing for financial reasons. Questions should be directed to Ken Mirer, 533-9047.
