Heckaman Hired As Next GHS Coach
On March 24th, 2026, Goshen High School announced that Griffin "Griff" Heckaman has been hired as the next Head Football Coach at Goshen High School. Coach Heckaman comes to GHS after most recently working as an assistant coach at Warsaw High School. After being hired, Coach Heckaman said “My goal is to help develop young men who will positively impact their communities both during their time in our program and long after they graduate. Goshen has a strong community and school culture, and I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of it.” The Goshen Gridiron Club is excited to welcome Coach Heckaman to the Goshen Football family and we're eager to support Coach Heckaman as he develops the next generation of Goshen Football players.

Longtime Assistant Coach Mark Fioritto Named To Indiana Football Hall Of Fame
The Goshen Gridiron Club wishes to congratulate longtime Goshen High School assistant coach and athletic director Mark Fioritto on his induction into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame! Fio played football at Elkhart Central and was a 3-time varsity letter winner, 2-time All-State and All-Conference honoree, and went on to play football at Ole Miss and Ball State. Fio spent many years as an assistant coach at Goshen High School for football and golf, served as assistant and then head wrestling coach, and eventually became athletic director. Fio's induction into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame is indicative of the impact he's had on Northern Indiana high school athletics as a player, a coach, and an administrator. Please join the Goshen Gridiron Club in extending our heartfelt congratulations to Mark Fioritto on this prestigious and well deserved honor!

Another successful Goshen Gridiron Golf Outing is in the books! It was great to see everyone at Maplecrest for a fun afternoon of golf and celebrating Goshen Football. Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and the staff at Maplecrest! This event is not possible without your contributions every year. Jerry Riley was this year's recipent of the Kieth and Janet Swihart Memorial Service Award. Thank you, Jerry, for all you've done for Goshen Football! It was great to celebrate the guys from the 2016 Redhawks and remember their special season as well. Former Head Coach Kyle Park shared some words about that memorable season and how they left their mark on Goshen Football. CLICK HERE to see more photos from this year's golf outing. Remembering Steve Swihart
It is with heavy hearts that we share that Goshen Football has lost one of its biggest supporters. Steve Swihart passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Steve was so many things to the program over the years; a 3-year letter winner in football at Goshen High School, co-captain and co-MVP on the 1978 State Champion team, an assistant coach for over 20 seasons, including the 1988 State Champion and 1999 State Runner-Up teams, and President and founding member of the Goshen Gridiron Club. In addition to all these things, “Swi” was a mentor, teacher, and friend to so many. His passing leaves a large hole in the hearts of the Goshen Football family and his impact on the community will be felt for generations to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Steve’s family and friends in this difficult time as they mourn his passing. Rest easy Swi, and thank you for what you’ve done for all of us.
